I have to admit - I LOVE baby-bellies. So I was super excited to visit Courtney and her husband Kent at their home for a maternity session. Not to mention, they live on a beautiful lake - which had me even MORE excited!












Check back in a couple months after the arrival of their baby girl!! I can't wait!!

I revisited one of my favorite new locations last week to capture some images of two of the cutest girls ever - Anna and Madeline. Anna was a regular little Miss Model - while Madeline on the other hand was a little more resistant to my silly antics :) But I had a lot of fun and hope to meet up with them again this Fall.

A couple weekends ago, I had the pleasure of second-shooting a wedding with Diane of Apropos Photography. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS day - the sun, the breeze, the couple - beautiful.

Jack | Eau Claire, WI Children's Photographer

On Sunday morning I met up with an old friend Laura and her adorable little man, Jack. This bundle of energy gave me a run for my money - always on the move and not wanting to look at the crazy lady with the giant camera in front of her face!

He warmed up to me eventually - and I think I could have just put him in my pocket and taken him home with me. Such a charmer that Jack :)

Cassie & Brent | Engaged

I kicked off my weekend with a fabulous engagement session on Friday night. Brent and Cassie were SO fun, and Brent definitely kept us all laughing the entire time! There were some storms rolling in - so we had to move quick. Fortunately, just as we were finishing and heading to the car - the rain started to fall. Perfect timing.

I'm pretty sure this is where we were laughing at the people walking up to the ticket counter and just saying "I Love You Man" (which was the movie playing) - but it sounded pretty hilarious. Maybe you had to be there...?

Memorial Day Weekend

I have SO much to share in the upcoming weeks! More images of my friend Jenni, an engagement session, a wedding and a cute kiddo. But first, I wanted to share some personal images from our weekend up north for Memorial Day. I always assume my family thinks I'm nuts for lugging around a giant camera and lens - but I hope they agree that the photos are so worth it! :)

Our first night we played some ball in the yard just as the sun was setting - it was absolutely beautiful out!

Yes, even I got up to bat! I concentrate way too hard though - see me pursing my lips!?


Caitlyn had more fun playing with Macy (the dog).


Then we wandered into the field to sit on the old wagon and just enjoy the sunset.

Later, Grandpa, Grandma and Caitlyn went for a walk.


The next night - we went out on the lake, followed by a campfire with friends and family. There were many many more photos - but I just didn't have time to get them all edited and posted. But I did get one that I love of my father-in-law fishing on the dock with Boyd's, sister's father-in-law:
