Courtney & Mike | MARRIED!!!

Where do I start? Courtney is a dear friend of mine whom I share many wonderful memories with, from childhood on up through college... and Mike - well even he and I go back to the days of my first job where we worked together at a local pharmacy. Courtney and Mike have been together for quite some time, and it's been wonderful to see their relationship grow and to be apart of their wedding day. They are such a kind and loving pair, and their big day was full of emotion. When photographing weddings, I'm usually able to put my emotions aside - but not this time. I was definitely choked up and teary-eyed on numerous occasions through-out the day.

It was a gorgeous day...and a gorgeous couple.

It was a seriously amazing day followed by an amazing reception/dance. Courtney and Mike even performed a dance of their own on stage (inspired by a scene from the movie Pulp Fiction) :)

And a huge, super-duper thank you goes out to the seriously talented Stephanie Neprud who was not only my awesome second-shooter, but a major support as I dealt with the emotional tugs of being away from my 5-week old baby for the first time.. :) You can see some of her shots from the wedding day here.

Courtney & Mike - Teaser

My baby is now two months old (whoa!), and my photography maternity leave is officially over. I'm now heading into a busy fall season full of lots of wonderful couples, engagement sessions and weddings.

But first - a wedding I shot during maternity leave for my dearest friend Courtney. I was just five weeks postpartum when I shot her wedding, and it was my first day leaving my baby! But it was worth it for my gorgeous friend and her handsome groom... You may remember them from this post and this post.
